Is it possible to consistently and accurately predict what will happen a day, a month, a year, or a decade from now? Most will say no, yet much of conventional investment advice tries to do just that—most often by analyzing historical investment data with the hope of finding a pattern that worked in the past and that (hopefully) will work in the future. However, hope is not an investment strategy. The past is behind us and as far as I know, no guarantee exists that the past will repeat in the future (if such a guarantee did exist, the future would indeed be predictable!)
At MJB Asset Management, we keep the focus of our analysis and money management strategy in the present moment rather than getting stuck in the past or lost in the future. We analyze investment markets within the context of wisdom gained from the past and goals set for the future, however, we concentrate on present investment conditions, valuations and risk levels and use that current information to identify investment opportunities and create portfolios that best match our clients’ present investment goals.
By staying in the present moment, we are free to remain flexible, observe any changes in the markets and/or client circumstances, and make changes along the way that will more effectively help our clients reach their specific goals
By understanding that there is nowhere to be except here—with our clients, doing what we have been hired to do—we are able to look at every one of our clients and say: "We are with you in this endeavor, all the way, all the time."
We invite you to leave your past investment experiences behind, to join us as we invest in the moment, and let us help you on your journey to meeting your investment goals.
